'Private journal, ship Duchess Northumberland, Captn Roxburgh ... From London to Sydney, N.S.W.,' and diary in Sydney, 5 May - 8 Nov. 1836. 316 emigrants embarked at Cork. Journal gives details of provision for the emigrants, describes conditions on broad, and includes many references to Dr. George Huntley. It concludes with a description of Sydney, 3 Oct. - 8 Nov. 1836 and a second-hand account of the story of Mrs. Fraser, the only survivor of the Stirling Castle wreck.
